The Ibis DV9 GX Bike is a lightweight carbon do-anything, go-anywhere hardtail. It features a cross-country geometry with a 67.4° head tube angle with a 120mm fork and a 68.5° head tube angle with a 100mm fork. The carbon frame has tire clearance for up to 2.6″ tires and has internal cable routing.

As with most current Ibis bikes, the seat-tube sits at 76 degrees and it features clearance for long dropper posts. Newly added internal cable tubes make servicing your cables much easier and Ibis also incorporated a Ripmo style lower link to reduce maintenance. As a final touch, Ibis increased the reach on every HD5 by 20mm compared to the HD4.
