The Force Awakens

Let me introduce you to the new GT Force Carbon. In 2019, GT redesigned this bike from the ground up to meet the needs and demands of their EWS Enduro race team. They started by looking into their past, the mid 90’s to be exact, when they release the GT LTS. The LTS was a cutting-edge bike for its time, mainly because of its Horst-Link suspension design which offered incredible performance climbing and descending. GT decided to take the successful Horst-Link design and give it a modern face-lift. The result is the new line of GT mountain bikes.

The 2020 GT Force features 150mm of rear travel with 160mm up front. Combine this with the 65-degree head angle, 4-bar suspension design, and 435mm chain-stay length, the Force is an aggressive bike with excellent handling making it a weapon no matter where you ride it. GT wanted to make a fun and predictable bike that could be available on the affordable side of the spectrum. Many features of the bike were designed with the standard consumer in mind, such as the external cable routing in a recessed channel, keeping the cables protected and easy to service and replace. Not everyone has an EWS or World Cup race mechanic that works on their bike.

The GT Force Expert Carbon features Fox Performance Elite suspension which provides a supple and smooth ride, the SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain provides all the gears you need to make it up the steepest climbs, and TRP G-Spec Trail brakes offer incredible stopping power when descending steep chutes.
