The Spicy represents the very essence of Enduro riding. Raced and developed out on the trails by the Lapierre Zipp Collective Team, including riders: Adrien Dailly, Isabeau Courdurier, Chloe Gallean and of course Nico Vouilloz. Constantly evolving to meet the demands and speed of extreme riders; The Spicy remains our iconic long travel MTB.

The heart of the Spicy CF 7.9 is Lapierre’s lightweight full-carbon 170 mm-travel frame, featuring all the modern features you’d expect from a mountain bike of this calibre: press-fit bottom bracket, boost spacing and thru-axles. Suspension is provided by Öhlins, using their RXF36 fork for optimal traction and control coupled with the TTX22M coil shock for consistent damping performance on all terrain.

Shifting and braking
Enduro racing puts serious demands on components. That’s why you’ll find a full complement of Shimano hardware on the Spicy CF 7.9, including a Deore XT crankset and SLX rear derailleur as part of a sleek, no-fuss modern 1×12 drivetrain. The bike also features Shimano Deore XT hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm rotors for powerful, controllable braking no matter how wild the trails get.

Further features, wheels & finishing kit
The Spicy CF 7.9 has a 29” wheelset from renowned manufacturer DT Swiss, coupled with tubeless-ready Maxxis tyres, which allow lower pressure for better traction and therefore less risk of punctures on aggressive trails.

The bike also features a remotely controlled dropper seat post, Lapierre Crmo saddle from Velo and Lapierre’s comfortable Fit grips.
